Celebrate creativity and connection by exploring the beautiful Ukrainian tradition of Pysanky together. Bring a friend, partner, parent, or family member and enjoy a meaningful hands-on experience while creating your own handcrafted keepsakes.
Participants will learn the traditional Ukrainian wax-resist method using real chicken eggs, beeswax, a *kistka* (stylus), candle, and vibrant dyes. Along the way, you'll discover the history, symbolism, and cultural significance behind this centuries-old folk art.
Each participant will create a finished Pysanka, with the option to design complementary or coordinating eggs using shared colors, symbols, or themes while expressing their own creativity. By the end of the workshop, you'll leave with one or two unique handcrafted Pysanky and the skills to continue this timeless art at home.
No prior experience is necessary. This workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone looking to share a creative experience together. All materials are included.

WCC Media Release Policy
We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu
