This hands-on workshop is designed to help artists and makers create clean, professional photographs of their work using simple, accessible tools. Participants will learn how to use light, composition, and straightforward setups to photograph their work in a way that feels accurate, intentional, and ready for websites, online shops, applications, and marketing.
Through live demonstrations and real-time problem solving, Scott and Donna will show how to build an easy tabletop setup, work with both natural and artificial light, and adapt techniques for different materials such as glass, metal, ceramics, and textiles. Artwork of any shape or size can be included, as long as it fits on a tabletop and can stand securely on its own.
This is a supportive, practical class focused on helping artists make stronger images without overcomplicating the process. Students will leave with tools and approaches they can use right away at home or in their studios.
