In this workshop, jewelry and silversmithing students engage in independent projects, guided by an instructor who offers personalized support and expert problem-solving in soldering techniques and fabrication. The experience is
designed to elevate students' technical mastery while inspiring creative design ideas. Participants should arrive prepared with their own project in mind and the materials they plan to work with, ensuring a productive and inspiring crafting session.
Take 1 session, or all 3!
Students Should Bring:
- Notebooks and writing utensils for note taking
- Proper Dress Code: close toed shoes, long pants, (optional) work aprons
- Project concepts (to work on during class)
- Personal materials/metal and tools
Prerequisite: Intro to Metals 1
Please wear natural fiber fabrics, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.

WCC Media Release Policy
We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu

Lauren Beaudoin
Lauren Anabela Beaudoin is a Salvadoran born metalsmith, craft educator and sole proprietor of Creative Dexterity. After taking her first metalsmithing class as a teen Lauren knew this was a passion she wanted to pursue. This led her to the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she earned her BFA in metals.Working primary in sterling silver and other copper alloyed metals her designs investigate shape, depth and kinetic movement. Her latest adornment series explores color and texture through the patination process.
As a craft educator Beaudoin has taught various jewelry/metalsmithing adult and youth courses throughout Massachusetts. She currently resides in Western Massachusetts where she is an active studio artist. For more information about her work and craft education visit her website at creativedexterity.com
