Kintsugi is an ancient Japanese art form that celebrates repair by mending broken pottery with gold,
transforming damage into beauty. While traditional Kintsugi can be an expensive and time-consuming
process, this workshop focuses on affordable, accessible techniques that achieve stunning results
without the high cost.
Students will learn about the history and philosophy of Kintsugi, then get hands-on experience repairing
and reimagining their own broken pieces. These methods work not only on ceramics, but also on glass,
wood, and other materials, allowing you to bring new life — and a new story — to treasured objects.
