Join us this summer for the WCC Youth Summer Program!
Morning and Afternoon: Forged in Fantasy
Interested in learning to make your own jewelry? Join us for a week of fire and fantasy! In this course students will learn basic metalsmithing skills including but not limited to how to use a jeweler's saw, how to solder pieces of metal together using a torch, and how to clean and polish their pieces. They will explore the concept of fantasy and imagination through magical creatures that will be used to inspire their pieces. Students will be able to create rings, pendants, pins, and much more!
No experience is necessary, all materials are included.
Please wear natural fiber fabrics, long pants, and closed-toe shoes.
**Please bring lunch & snacks for this all day course.**

This course is from 9am-3pm. WCC also provides an extended day option which will allow your child to stay in our care from 8:00am-9am, 3pm-5pm, or both. Pick up is flexible. Parents can pick their child up any time and drop them off anytime between the listed hours. For the extended day option please add the "extended day care" fee in your cart at checkout. Questions? Brianna Ko
Brianna Ko, a second-year art teacher at Marshfield High School with a BFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, specializes in metalsmithing. Committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, she encourages students to develop skills, techniques, and a lifelong appreciation for learning. In her personal work, Brianna explores nature, light, color, and storytelling through metalsmithing, drawing inspiration from art history. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and engaging in the arts.
