In this unique workshop, we will explore the art of throwing through the lens of mindfulness, combining the meditative practice of being fully present with the hands-on experience of working on the potter's wheel. Whether you are a seasoned potter or at the beginning of your journey with sound basic throwing skills, this session invites you to slow down, connect with the clay, and cultivate a deeper sense of awareness in your creative process.
Through gentle guidance, you will learn to approach the wheel with a calm and focused mind, allowing the act of throwing pottery to become a moving meditation. By focusing on your breath, body, and the tactile sensations of the clay, we will practice being fully present in each moment and embracing the process.
Throughout the workshop, we will integrate simple mindfulness meditation and mindfulness exercises that will help you to center the mind and the clay. The intention of this workshop is that participants will leave feeling grounded and inspired, with a new perspective on their pottery practice. A wonderful workshop for anyone with basic throwing skills.
