Want to learn how to create your own molds without plaster? Bisque molds are a great alternative to creating organically shaped multiples. In this workshop students will learn how to construct bisque frames out of clay to create a mold for plates and how to make a mold for vessels (like a butterdish) by building solid and then hollowing out forms. These hump and slump molds, once bisque fired can be reused without the drawback of plaster chips and are a great tool to explore new forms at a quicker pace. This course is good for students at an intermediate level. Day one will be for wet work, with firmed greenware molds being completed on day two, ready for bisque firing the following week.
Materials and Firing Fees are in addition to tuition. Please see note when registering.
