You will use hand tools, including a ring mandrel, metal vise, ball-peen hammer, bolt cutter, and jeweler’s saw, to create both a spoon ring and a necklace. We’ll begin by flattening a spoon and cutting off the handle. The handle will be shaped into a ring, and the bowl of the spoon will be transformed into a necklace through piercing work.
Your instructor will supply a spoon for each student; however, you are encouraged to bring your own spoons to pierce the simple design. All spoons must be either silver plate or sterling silver.

Students should bring:
- Silverware to make into jewelry. Must be silver plated or sterling silver
- Wear long pants and closed-toe shoes

Youth ages 14-17 may enroll in this course if they enroll with a parent or guardian. Parent/guardian must notify the registration office via email at wccregistration@worcester.edu

We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu

If there is a photographer in your course/workshop, kindly remind them that you have withheld consent to be photographed. If WCC is using your photo in current marketing and you would prefer it not to be used, please let us know by emailing wccregistration@worcester.edu
