Learn to master the art of hand weaving and weave a table runner to be taken home at the end of the class.

No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through the weaving, design and finishing process. We will be weaving with repurposed cotton fabric strips and luxury
yarns on rigid heddle looms. Each student will be encouraged to see this way of weaving as a potential form of art and design which will be foremost in determining a unique table runner.

Consider bringing your own fabrics to cut into strips and weave with. These can include a son’s flannel shirt, a husband’s neckties, patterned sheets which are no longer in service, etc.

Dahlia will have many cotton fabric strips to choose from as well.

WCC Media Release Policy

We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu

If there is a photographer in your course/workshop, kindly remind them that you have withheld consent to be photographed. If WCC is using your photo in current marketing and you would prefer it not to be used, please let us know by emailing wccregistration@worcester.edu
