Youth Summer Program Week 1 Morning Class: Glass (Ages 11-13)

Theme of the Week: Art Made From Recycled Materials

Make new from old!

Using several old antique windows students will take them apart and recycle the old glass. We will make something new using the glass which is aged with a natural patina giving it a nice antique look. Some of the projects will include stained glass boxes, stained glass window panels and suncatchers. Bring your creativity!


Dress code for glass courses: Please wear closed toe shoes and natural fibers (no synthetic fibers). Protection gear (goggles and gloves) will be provided by WCC

 

Reminder: If your child is attaending a full day of classes, remember to pack them a lunch for the break period.

If your class is scheduled to occur in the evenings after 5PM or if you arrive on a weekend before 10AM, please enter the facilities through our rear, handicap-accessible Studio Entrance across from the Parking Lot. The front entrance and offices lock at 5PM. As you enter through the Studio Entrance, please take a right if you are looking for the Ceramics Studio. Please take a left if you are looking for the Metals Studio, Lobby, or the Multimedia Studio.
