Strengthen, Condition and Balance your mind and body while developing a strong foundation.
Beginner classes present the essential themes of Hatha yoga and familiarize the student with the fundamental asanas (postures), including simple forward and back bends, twists, core line strengthening and balance as well as basic breathing and relaxation techniques. Slow Flows (postures linked together) will also be incorporated into this class.

You will be gently guided with careful attention to correct form, gradual introduction of new postures, and repetition of learned postures with variations.

Lucy teaches the foundation necessary for a solid home practice and for more advanced study. In the process you will increase flexibility and strengthen, tone, and revitalize your body.

Yoga postures (asanas) and breathing improve insomnia, quickly improve posture, alleviate pain, focus the mind, reduce stress, help digestion, and reduce back and joint pain.

This class also emphasizes breath and the use of basic opposition in the body to create stability and balance.

Lucy always offers modifications for students of various abilities.

Every class ends with deep relaxation or Meditation.

Please bring a yoga mat and If possible, two 4 inch foam or cork blocks along with a 10' yoga strap.

This class incorporates the evidenced-based Yoga Warriors Method:

slow, rhymic movements with positive affirmations.
