Creatures from the Deep

Bring your imagination as you learn to sculpt clay into an eight legged octopus form, making your own creature of the deep! You will learn basic hand building skills as you are introduced to forming, texturing and sculpting high fire clay, while adding color through the use of slips and underglazes. A fun workshop to get your hands dirty while letting your imagination run wild!

COVID Policies

All registrants are asked to review the Craft Center's COVID-19 Response page for guidance on the safety policies we are asking all students to abide by in our combined efforts to maintain a healthy work environment.  Mask wearing continues to be required of all visitors and students in all studios to keep everyone safe regardless of vaccination status.  Please review this information on here.

Craft Center COVID Policy Acknowledgement

Every registrant will be expected to complete an electronic form included in their registration receipt acknowledging that they understand and agree to comply with the policies outlined.  This form must be submitted no less than 48 hours prior to the start of the first class.  If you have submitted this form for a prior registration, you do not need to submit another one.

Notes:

Please note that student ceramic work must be dried, fired, and glaze fired by the WCC Ceramics Staff after the workshop has ended. Once your work is ready for pick-up, you will be notified via email.

Hailey Angione

Hailey Angione is a jeweler and ceramicist who grew up in New Hampshire. She received a dual degree in Ceramics and Metalsmithing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2019. She graduated summa cum laude, has won two awards from the Annual Jewelry Design Competition held by the International Precious Metals Institute, and was a finalist for the 2019 Windgate Fellowship Award.

Hailey makes work inspired by books, old architecture, and history. Using a combination of metal and ceramic she makes vessels and wearable objects. Hailey enjoys experimenting with materials, sharing ideas and techniques, and finding creative solutions to creative problems. She finds joy in helping others make their best work.
