This introduction workshop is a series of three, each offering a unique opportunity to learn the basics of beginner small-scale casting that can be done in your home studio.

In Part II students will learn how to prep a one-time use molds from cuttlebone fish bone, then pour their liquid scrap silver into that mold. If time permits students can turn their castings into one of a kind jewelry.

Materials fee only covers bronze casting grain.  If students wish to make pieces out of sterling they should pre-purchase at least 1.5oz of .925 sterling silver casting grain (Item #100800 on Rio Grande) and/or bring any and all solder-free sterling or fine silver scrap they have collected.
