Students will experiment on flat enamel surfaces using stencils and color to create unique earrings! You will learn how to sift enamel, use stencils for design elements, fire your pieces in an electric kiln, and cover color theory tips for successful designs! Basic metalsmithing skills will be briefly introduced and demonstrated with several in process pieces provided to ensure everyone finishes at least 1 pair of earrings to take home!
All materials are included. No experience is necessary.
Please wear natural fibers (cotton, linen, wool, etc.) and closed-toe shoes.
Youth ages 14-17 may enroll in this course if they enroll with a parent or guardian. Parent/guardian must notify the registration office via email at wccregistration@worcester.edu

WCC Media Release Policy
We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.
If there is a photographer in your course/workshop, kindly remind them that you have withheld consent to be photographed. If WCC is using your photo in current marketing and you would prefer it not to be used, please let us know by emailing wccregistration@

Glass and Enamels StudioNicholas Hesson
Nicholas Hesson is an art educator, jeweler, enamelist, and CAD designer. His work utilizes a combination of digital and hand fabrication processes inspired by the human form and iconography associated with memento mori, beauty, and the human body.After receiving his Associate in Fine Arts from Bucks County Community College he worked there as a 3D Arts Lab Technician maintaining the day-to-day operations of the studio. He simultaneously pursued his Bachelors in Fine Arts as he commuted to Tyler School of Art and Architecture, Temple University where he assisted instructors as a teaching assistant as well as took classes. He received his BFA in Metals/Jewelry/CAD/CAM from Tyler in 2020. In the Spring of 2023, he graduated with his MFA in Metal Design from East Carolina University where he worked as a graduate teaching assistant. He now resides in the New England area where he works as a Silversmith for Tiffany & Co.
