Youth Summer Program Week 5: Exploring Enameling and Identity (Ages 10-13)

Let’s explore enameling together! In this course, students will learn the basics of enameling through three basic enameling techniques: sifting, stenciling, and sgraffito. Students will also learn basic jewelry sawing techniques. They will explore the concept of identity and create their own personalized motif. Students will use their personalized motif to create pins, pendants, and more!
All materials provided. No prior experience necessary. Please wear natural fiber fabrics and closed-toe shoes. Please bring lunch & snacks for this all day course.
Things to Know
- Participants must bring a lunch and two snacks each day
- All materials provided; all levels welcome
- Wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty!
- Wear closed-toe shoes
- We offer an extended day option for our summer program for an additional cost (AM care: 8am - 9am, PM care: 3pm - 5pm)

Glass and Enamels StudioBrianna Ko
Brianna Ko, a second-year art teacher at Marshfield High School with a BFA from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, specializes in metalsmithing. Committed to creating a safe and supportive learning environment, she encourages students to develop skills, techniques, and a lifelong appreciation for learning. In her personal work, Brianna explores nature, light, color, and storytelling through metalsmithing, drawing inspiration from art history. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and engaging in the arts.
