In this six-week introduction to watercolor, we'll navigate the distinct challenges and techniques of watercolor painting through a series of exercises and mini projects, leading up to a final landscape
painting. This is very beginner focused and allows time for hands-on instruction.

The areas of focus for the classes are:
-The differences and common language to know when choosing your materials.
-How to achieve different washes and manage the amount of water on your paper.
-Color theory basics and how that translates to a transparent medium.
-Embracing the medium's unique properties by creating textures with salt, alcohol, and masking

WCC Media Release Policy

We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu
