Course Description

Get a taste of the ancient art of glassblowing in this fun one night course. In one evening you will learn about the history and process behind creating beautiful blown glass creations at the New Street Glass Studio. After safety and studio etiquette are discussed, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2,000 year old art before diving in and making their very own vase from glass gathered out of a 2,100-degree furnace. Students will choose their own colors and will be guided through the steps from gathering, to applying a snow flake design, to blowing out the bubble and shaping the lip of the vase. No experience necessary. Materials: All materials are included. Refund Policy

A refund is given upon request in writing at least two business days prior to first class meeting. No refunds or credits are given for student absences.

When course or workshop is cancelled by the WCC, a full refund will be issued. Email wccregistration@worcester.edu
