Course Description
Take a blank piece of wax and transform it into a beautiful piece of jewelry. This 5-week class will cover the basics of working with wax, how to clean up and finish castings, as well as creating a piece using repetitive parts from a mold. Students will learn carving, filing and finishing skills to complete multiple rings, with at least one of them having a stone setting. Students' pieces will be cast before the end of the class allowing for the end of the class to focus on setting stones and finishing pieces.
All levels, no metalsmithing experience needed.

Cancellation Policies

Craft Center Re-Opening Policy Acknowledgement & Release of LiabilityEvery registrant will be expected to complete an electronic form included in their registration receipt acknowledging that they understand and agree to comply with the policies outlined, and that they thereby release the Worcester Center for Crafts and Worcester State University of any liability. This form must be submitted no less than 48 hours prior to the start of the first class.
