Course Description

In this fast paced 2-hour online beginner level workshop, you'll learn the basic techniques used to make medieval spiral-faced rings using copper wire. Through instructor guided demonstrations, you'll explore the single and double looped ring. These designs are timeless and were used predominantly from the late Iron Age to the late Middle Ages. You'll have the opportunity to make several styles of rings during the workshop and will leave with the skills to continue making them at home. This online class is limited to 4 students.

Once registered for the class, you will receive a more detailed tools/supplies list with suppliers/order numbers and any applicable discount codes. There is also the option to purchase a Materials Only Kit. Tools will not be provided.

Please note: The format for Metals Online Workshops will differ from that of a traditional in-studio class. Registered students will receive an invitation to join the class via Zoom. You will meet as a class for the 2-hour time listed in registration.

Please email pfarren@worcester.edu with questions.
