Course Description

Fill your brain to bursting with the latest plasma neon technology! Wayne Strattman and Mundy Hepburn will guide you through the last 35 years of developments in their high vacuum world. Borosilicate and soda lime glass will both be used. Any glass working skill is a plus, but watching and learning will also be invaluable. All materials needed are included in the $50 materials fee. Bring a lunch!

This workshop is capped to a maximum of 16. There are 10 available flame working stations, so students will be rotating between working with Wayne in the flame shop and Mundy in the hot shop. Students should be prepared to experiment in both areas. There will also be several joint discussions and demonstrations relating to both hot shop work and flame work.
