In this fourth and final class in The Ring Cycle series, the student will bring all of the skills learned in the previous three classes to forge wire from a small ingot of silver using only a hammer. Advanced tapering, hammer forging, and rounding will feature greatly as the student will then shape one of the rings from the first class in the series from their own forged wire. This is a class where cadence and patience comes into play as the student will have a skill that was used for millenia until the advent of the draw plate.


Intermediate and advanced forging and/or the previous classes in the series are required.

WCC Media Release Policy

We may occasionally use photos of students in promotional materials. Enrollment in one of our courses is consent to WCC using photos/videos of your class participation and/or art work in future advertising. If you would prefer WCC to not use photos of yourself or your enrolled family member, please let us know by filling out the media release form located on our website, and submitting it to wccregistration@worcester.edu
