Explore printmaking in this dynamic “introduction to Printmaking” course! Whether you are an artist or simply curious about creative expression, this course offers a guided hands-on journey through three different techniques.
Gel Plate Monoprints; Dive into the spontaneous and experimental realm of monoprinting. Using a gel plate, you’ll explore texture, layering and color to create one of a kind prints.
Lindoleum Block Print: Experience the art of relief printing as you carve your own linoleum blocks and bring your designs to life. This technique allows you to eplore positive and negative space to create striking images that can be repeated on a variety of surfaces to make prints, greeting cards, tshirts, tea towels or bags!
Dry Point Etching; Delve into the meticulous world of intaglio etching, where you’ll learn to create detailed and expressive prints. This technique uses beginner-friendly methods and materials to produce prints with fine line works and rich textured surfaces.
In this course you’ll explore fundamental techniques and gain a deeper understanding of the artistic process and printmaking history. Each session includes guidd instruction, creative exercises and ample time for you to experiment and develop your own style using non toxic, water based inks. By the end, you will walk away with an array of stunning prints and the skills to continue exploring the world of printmaking on your own.
